Invited by the Department of Geography, College of Earth and Environmental Sciences of Lanzhou University, Professor Zou Bin from Central South University came to our university for academic exchange on September 23rd, and gave an academic report on "Progress and Thoughts on Remote Sensing Big Data for Environmental Health Research" in the conference room 502 of Qilian Hall, Chengguan Campus in the afternoon of the 23rd. The report was hosted by Professor Guan Qingyu of College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, and some teachers and graduate and undergraduate students of Geography Department of College of Earth and Environmental Sciences listened to the report.

Combining geographic information science, remote sensing and environment, public health cross research, Professor Zou Bin elaborated the development of remote sensing big data in detail, and cited some examples of current remote sensing applications for environmental health research. Atmospheric environmental health research is extensive, its pollutants are rich, associated with a variety of diseases, the research design is diverse, evaluation indexes are diverse, how to carry out multi-dimensional thinking of air pollution health risk prevention and control? Professor Zou Bin pointed out that, mainly from the pollution prevention and control zone delineation, risk circle delineation, future risk prediction, prevention and control path planning, prevention and control of the main identification of the five directions of thinking, and make a detailed exposition. Finally, Professor Zou Bin made in-depth thinking on the future development of environmental health. The participants were deeply inspired by the report and actively conducted academic exchanges and discussions with Professor Zou Bin.
